What is sex therapy? It's just like any other form of therapy, except your therapist has been specially trained to treat sexual issues, and can provide educational resources and homework assignments tailored to your unique goals around sex and sexuality. Whether you are hoping to deepen your intimacy, explore a kink, open your relationship, or tackle a specific sexual issue such as erectile dysfunction or pain during sex, your therapist is here to support you in that exploration. Sex therapy is open to single folks or individuals in relationships who would like an individual therapy experience, or for folks in relationships who want to attend with their partner(s).
We are sex positive.
Sex is a challenging topic for many, and our culture is rife with contradictory messages around sex and sexuality. Feelings of shame and discomfort are common when folks begin to explore their experiences and desires when it comes to sex, and having the support of a trained professional can help you to work through it at your own pace in a safe, structured environment.
We have two sex therapy specialists on the ECS team, Carly Haeck and Caitlin Hendricks. Visit their profiles to learn more about their style and access their direct contact information. You can also contact ECS and mention your interest in sex therapy to learn more and be connected with one of our specialists.
